ELDR Technology

Enterprise Architect

Lead enterprise architecture strategy for ELDR's technology-intensive client engagements — designing target architectures that are secure, scalable, governance-aligned, and fit for regulated operating environments.

Level: Principal (15+ Years) Type: Full-Time · Hybrid Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada

About the Role

ELDR Technology advises institutions on the architecture, governance, and deployment of their enterprise technology environments — with a particular focus on cloud platforms, AI systems, and the governance infrastructure that sits around them. The Enterprise Architect leads these engagements at the highest level of technical authority, developing target-state architectures, conducting current-state assessments, and bridging the gap between technology strategy and regulatory requirement. This is a principal-level role for a seasoned architect with the rare combination of technical depth, governance literacy, and executive advisory capability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise architecture engagements for regulated institutional clients — defining target-state architectures for cloud, data, application, and security domains
  • Develop architecture documentation including capability models, reference architectures, solution design documents, and technology roadmaps
  • Assess current-state architectures for alignment with regulatory requirements — NIST, FedRAMP, ISO 27001, OSFI B-10, or sector-specific frameworks
  • Advise on cloud architecture governance across AWS, Azure, and GCP — including multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and cloud security posture management
  • Collaborate with ELDR Advisory and Consulting to integrate architecture decisions into transformation programmes
  • Brief C-suite and board-level stakeholders on architecture strategy, technology risk, and investment decisions
  • Contribute to ELDR Technology's thought leadership and methodology development

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive enterprise architecture experience across multiple domains — application, data, cloud, and security
  • TOGAF certified (or equivalent architecture framework expertise)
  • Deep working knowledge of cloud architecture governance on at least two of AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Demonstrated ability to develop architecture documentation to enterprise and regulatory standards
  • Prior experience advising regulated industries — financial services, healthcare, government, or regulated manufacturing
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field; graduate degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture frameworks (NIST SP 800-207, CISA ZTA) and their implementation in enterprise environments
  • Experience with AI/ML platform architecture and MLOps governance in regulated environments
  • Prior Big 4 technology advisory or major financial institution architecture leadership experience

What We Offer

  • Principal-level advisory engagements with major institutional clients
  • Architecture leadership across ELDR's most technically complex mandates
  • Opportunity to shape ELDR Technology's methodology and practice development
  • Competitive principal-level compensation with performance-linked components
