ELDR Media

Strategic Research Writer

Produce long-form strategic research, institutional communications, and executive-facing content that translates ELDR's intelligence and advisory work into high-impact written output.

Level: Mid-Senior (5–10 Years) Type: Full-Time · Hybrid Location: London, United Kingdom

About the Role

ELDR Media produces written output that operates at the standard of the best institutional research houses — rigorous, well-sourced, precisely written, and calibrated to the audiences that shape policy, capital, and regulatory outcomes. The Strategic Research Writer is the wordsmith and analytical synthesiser at the heart of that output — turning raw intelligence, advisory insights, and subject matter expertise into reports, briefs, whitepapers, and executive communications that advance ELDR's institutional standing and serve its clients. Based in London, this role sits at the centre of the firm's European and international publishing output.

Responsibilities

  • Author long-form research reports, institutional briefs, whitepapers, and strategic intelligence documents for ELDR's publication library and client deliverables
  • Synthesise complex analytical inputs from ELDR Intelligence, Advisory, and Consulting practices into clear, coherent written narratives for executive and institutional audiences
  • Develop and maintain ELDR's institutional voice across all written output — precise, authoritative, analytically grounded
  • Write executive communications, leadership statements, institutional positioning documents, and board-level briefing materials for ELDR and its clients
  • Collaborate with Intelligence analysts on the editorial production of ELDR Signal, ELDR Reports, and Signal Premium content
  • Edit and quality-review research outputs from ELDR's contributor network to ensure analytical rigour and editorial consistency
  • Contribute to ELDR's thought leadership strategy — identifying topics, developing angles, and producing content that strengthens the firm's institutional positioning

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience as a research writer, institutional analyst writer, policy writer, or senior journalist in a rigorous analytical environment
  • Demonstrated ability to produce long-form analytical writing at institutional standard — reports, research papers, white papers, or policy documents
  • Ability to synthesise complex, multi-source analytical inputs into coherent, decision-relevant written narratives
  • Strong editorial instincts — structure, argument, evidence hierarchy, and precision of language
  • Undergraduate degree required; graduate training in journalism, international relations, law, economics, or related analytical field strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a financial research house, think tank, international policy organisation, or institutional media outlet
  • Familiarity with financial services, regulatory systems, or African political economy as subject matter domains
  • Experience writing for C-suite or board-level audiences in a corporate or institutional context
  • Second language — particularly French, Portuguese, or Arabic

What We Offer

  • Central editorial role in ELDR's flagship intelligence and research publications
  • Bylined contribution to ELDR's published library with institutional reach
  • London hybrid at the centre of ELDR's European editorial and intelligence operation
  • Competitive compensation with publication-linked recognition
